AICPA Council Meeting in Washington D.C.

I am writing for the final time in my chairmanship while listening to a great speaker, Eleanor Clift of Fox News, during the AICPA Council meeting in Washington D.C. On Sunday, I was excited to have the opportunity to listen to one of my all time favorites, George Will. TSCPA member and U.S. representative Mike Conaway speaks during lunch today. Last night at the AICPA reception a band comprised of congressmen called The Second Amendments entertained us and Mike joined them for one tune and was pretty good!

TSCPA’s Texas delegation will visit a number of our congressmen during the next couple of days. Upon my return later this week, I will make my final chapter visit of my term, speaking briefly at lunch at the Dallas Chapter CPE day.

As I write, I am sitting next to Donna Wesling who will assume the TSCPA chairmanship on June 1 and who I know will do a great job for TSCPA members. I would like to thank all TSCPA members as well as our great TSCPA staff for the support they provided during my year!
